VCT Strip and Wax
VCT (Vinyl Composition Tile) is the type of flooring found in many office buildings, schools, clinics etc. Here are 3 steps to maintaining a great-looking VCT floor:
- Strip and Wax – Small dirt particles an dust eventually get ground into waxed floors. Over time, this ground in dirt and exposure to light will make the floors start to look yellow and grimy. In order to restore your floors to a “like new” state, they will need to be stripped and waxed. We recommended this be done at least every 12 months if traffic is medium to low. For high traffic areas, we recommend every a thorough strip and wax every 4 to 6 months.
- Scrub and Finish – When VCT flooring loses its original high gloss look and appears dull, it is time to re-coat. We will scrub the tiles to provide optimum appearance and reduce the need for stripping and waxing, which will save you time and money.
- Buffing and Burnishing – Buffing floors helps maintain the high-gloss shine and luster you want on your floors. Our process uses an ultra-high-speed floor machine to renew the floors surface. We recommend this service monthly for medium to low traffic areas, and weekly on high traffic flooring.
